Orange Creamsicle

What is it like to hand piece a quilt? Orange Creamsicle is exploring piecing without modern equipment. This piece was made with all hand pieced and cut using only scissors. The artist limited the color palette to mostly warm solid colors, unless additional pieces were needed as filler and then aqua was added to some areas. The aqua pieces provide movement across the design. The quilting is a mix of hand quilting and machine quilting matchstick lines. The back of this piece is made with prints, improvisationally pieced, in the same color palette/theme as the front.

Made with high quality cotton and thread. Machine washable in cold water with gentle detergent, line dry for best results.
